A Little note from Nana

Hi everyone, welcome to Maddie & Nana's Place. This blog is for Maddie. She has been scrapbooking for almost a year. She wanted her own blog so that she could enter challenges just like her Nana. She is learning to do everything crafty by herself. Maddie has her own ideas, her own "stuff" including my old cuttlebug. My daughter has been scrapbooking for years and now her oldest loves it too. She wants to do her own computer input so please be patient. Nana spoils her and she has been playing on our PC for a while. She loves YouTube and only needs a little help with spelling. At least she will allow me to help, even if it's only to tell her how to do it. She always wants to do it herself. She mastered my ATG gun in no time..lol We hope to have fun together.

Happy Birthday SU stamp, card bourd base, cuttlebug swiss Dot`s, 3 blue buttons and ribbon, paper from my nanna`s stash, yellow stickel`s, a wooden k that my nana`s  heat embossed with utee, and pop dots.  We entered him into these challenges:

Nana's Note:  I did the heat embossing with the Utee.  I will let her do it next time.  She wasn't to impressed with the results...lol  Maddie busted out quite a few projects this weekend.  She is pretty fast at making her projects.  She knows what she wants and gets right to it.  Computer imput takes her the most time.  She doesn't know the key board well yet.  She thought she had lost her data several times today!  Thank goodness this program  usually saves it.  Just wait until I make her link the posts.  She will get a real dose of frustration then..hehehe.  I know he will read this part when she reads her comments.  Love you Mads!!!

Thanks for looking, comments much appreciated by this up and coming scrapper....Have a great week!

Thinking of You Card for my Mom

I used 4 buttons and red paper.  I made this card for my mom, she loves fairies.  I used a Digi from stitchy bear stamps called the garden fairy.  I colored it with watercolor pencils.  I also used pop dots and stampin up thinking of you stamp.  I smudged the edges with red ink.  I hope she will like it.

I decided to enter big people challenges too.  I hope they let me and like me.  We entered the following challenges:

Nana's Note:  Maddie also used Rhinestones and ran the "Thinking of You" thru the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot's Embossing folder.  Thanks for looking, comments greatly appreciated!

4 Drawer Box

A note from Nana:  Maddie went with me to a new group crop today.  She made this beautiful Box.  It was Gails turn to share a project with the group.  It was a lot of fun.  Gail did most of the hard work!  She cut and scored most of the components ahead of time.  All we had to do was pick our colors, embellies and such and put it all together.  She even brought all of her die cuts.  I must say I like the spellbinders nestibilities, especially since they can be used in our cuttlebugs...lol  Needless to say Maddie was exhausted, we picked up her little sister Gracie to join in our crafting sleepover.  They each made a lovely card.  Maddie will be posting that one herself later.  I just thought I would post this one for her as I am sure they will want to make something else after breakfast. (That's just a few hours away..yikes.)  She did a great job for almost a 9 year old..lol.  She is now part of 2 crop groups, amazing.  She will be making 5 progressive cards for this crop's next project...  We are entering this into the following challenges:
Such little cuties!  Here's what she used to create this box...no, she wouldn't let me help much.  All I could do was do the whole post and open the brads...lol:
  • Kirstens Blogg & Gail for design components
  • Martha Stewart corner punch
  • 5 Red Brads & blue little spacers
  • Cuttlebug & nestibilites smallest die for drawer embellies
  • Glass feet
  • Glittery Bling Pattern Paper
Thanks for looking... Comments are very much appreciated and encouring to a young little scrapper!
